Moreen’s Story: Empowering Women and Girls To Arise

One of the highlights of this year’s Living Water International Gala, Arise, was a message our field speaker from Uganda, Moreen Katugume, shared with our community.

Moreen serves as Living Water Uganda’s WASH Program Area (WPA) Coordinator in the Malongo region. Growing up in southwestern Uganda, her family suffered without safe drinking water.

As a woman, Moreen overcame many challenges to earn a university degree in water engineering. God led her to work as a Sanitation and Hygiene Coordinator in Living Water’s first WPA, Ruhaama—near where she grew up.

Through her work with the thirsty, Moreen saves lives, demonstrates the love of Christ, and empowers women and girls. We know her powerful testimony will encourage and inspire you!
