What’s the price of a sustainable project?
Your donation goes beyond sponsoring the hardware and labor required to install a well or water project. It supports the spiritual, physical, and social transformation of an entire community through safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs, alongside the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The cost of sponsoring a community project varies, ranging from $15,000 to $90,000 or more, with partial sponsorships starting at $5,000. This cost depends on factors such as the project’s size, location, technology, and associated activities, many of which commence weeks or even months before the actual drilling begins.

How does Living Water ensure the long-term impact of a project?
Long before our teams start drilling, Living Water’s local in-country staff are hard at work, ensuring the water will be safe and sustainable. They mobilize the community, address household hygiene and sanitation, and establish good maintenance practices so high-quality water will keep flowing for years to come. We work with the local Church, which is always our primary partner, to bring safe, sustainable water to a community while demonstrating and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through this holistic spiritual, physical, and social approach, families get healthy, kids stay in school, and livelihoods flourish.
What kind of information do I receive when sponsoring a project?
Each sponsorship is linked to a specific community, and its sponsor will receive a project completion report with before/after photos and related information on the water, sanitation, hygiene, and gospel-related activities tied to that specific project or group of projects.
How is sponsoring a project at Living Water different from other organizations?
For Living Water, providing sustainable, safe, physical water is always integrated with sharing the living water, the gospel of Jesus Christ. We do this by linking arms with the local church to create change, and we employ local staff who provide in-depth cultural and geographical expertise with relational connections to the community. Together, we meet the physical, spiritual, and social flourishing of all people who lack basic WASH services. Communities become stronger, local churches are more impactful, people get healthier, and kids stay in school.
How can I contribute if I'm not currently in a position to fully sponsor a specific project?
We can offer advice on how other groups have increased their sponsorship through additional efforts, such as crowdfunding, or our staff can reach out to other prospective sponsors to fill the gap. We limit each Community Project to no more than three sponsors, and no more than six sponsors for a Community Partnership to build and maintain relationships between the sponsor and the community neighbors.
How can I make a general donation for areas of greatest need?
General fund donations enable Living Water to maintain and grow Community Projects that are not sponsored, to ensure gospel proclamation if donations are restricted, to purchase or replace desperately needed equipment, to enable start-ups for new program areas, to nurture innovation, to enable grant and sponsorship matches, and more!
