Living Water is excited to announce that we are an official charity partner for the TCS New York City Marathon.
We have 3 guaranteed entries for the race on November 1, 2026 and are looking for committed runners who have a passion for bringing water to communities around the world. On top of training and running one of the world major marathons, you will fundraise at least $3,500 for Living Water, bringing safe water to 70 people!
A limited number of entries are available for 2026. To be considered for an entry, please complete the application form below. To participate with Team Living Water, you must commit to a $3,500 fundraising minimum.

When is the race?

What is the fundraising minimum and due dates?
You will need to raise at least $3,500, but we encourage you to think big and set a bigger goal!
- $1,000 is due by 9/1/26
- $3,500 is due by 10/31/26
Is my race entry guaranteed?
Yes, you will have a guaranteed entry. In addition to the fundraising minimum, you will be responsible for paying the registration fee ($315 for non-NYRR members) and arranging any travel and lodging for the weekend.
What kind of support will Living Water provide?
For fundraising: We will help you setup a personalized fundraising page that you can send out to family/friends. You will be able to login and see your fundraising progress and list of donors. We can help you with fundraising tips, letterhead, sample emails, and giving handles (i.e. $50 provides 1 person safe water). Our director of Team Living Water will provide help along the way and can answer any questions!
For running: We will provide an 18-week training plan. If you are local to the Houston area, we have a team that meets on Saturday mornings at Memorial Park starting in September.
Other support: We love swag! You will receive a free Living Water jersey for signing up. When you hit your fundraising minimum, you’ll receive a free Living Water branded jacket. We’ll have other bonuses for $5,000 and $10,000 raised. We hope to plan some race weekend encouragement and support as well- details TBA!
What happens if I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel due to injury or for another reason, you may defer to next year’s race. You will still need to complete the fundraising minimum this year, but you will have a guaranteed spot next year and will not need to fundraise again. However, you will pay the race entry fee again ($315). If you qualify for the pregnancy/post-partum policy, you will be able to defer to one of the next 3 year’s races.
What happens if the Marathon is cancelled?
If the marathon is cancelled for any reason, any funds raised will not be refunded, but can apply to the next year’s race as allowed by the TCS NYC Marathon.
I already have a guaranteed entry for the race and do not need a charity spot. Can I still fundraise for Living Water?
Yes, absolutely! You can setup a fundraising page to make your 26.2 miles even more meaningful. There is no set fundraising minimum, but you’ll receive bonus swag for hitting certain milestones. Email tlw@water.cc to receive the link to setup your page.
