RAFAEL’S STORY: A PROMISE FULFILLED

“Someone out there saw us. Someone believed we still mattered.”

For this month's CONNECTION:

While artistic license has been taken, Rafael and the events in this audio reading are based on a real story of impact depicted by Living Water Honduras colleagues.

Did you know?

  • Despite strides made toward ending Honduras’ long standing water crisis, in November of 2024, Tropical Storm Sara affected or damaged WASH systems for over 238,500 people.
  • According to the latest data from WHO/UNICEF, only 53% of Hondurans have access to safely managed sanitation services.
  • About 35% of Hondurans—more than one third of the population—still lacks access to basic drinking water.
