Since 2007, our local staff has been working to provide sustainable water solutions and hygiene and sanitation lessons for rural communities in Zambia. Our current focus is on the Chirundu District in Southern Zambia where 50 percent of the population lacks safe drinking water. Much of the population relies on unsafe water sources like streams and rivers where they face danger from not only bacteria and parasites but also from animal attacks. Attacks from crocodiles are rampant in the dry season when people are forced to use nearby rivers for daily chores, bathing, and drinking.

Living Water Zambia’s goal is to strengthen the capacity of local churches where we work to proclaim and demonstrate the gospel—and God’s love—through water provision.
