“We had the privilege of welcoming Living Water International when they came to conduct a training on integral mission and the role that the church plays in ensuring that they are active agents in achieving this. It was the first time that we had witnessed a non-governmental organization involving the church in developmental issues that affected the communities. When it comes to issues of development, churches are mostly left out as they are not seen as entities that can positively help foster development and sustainability. God is doing some awesome things in our churches and community through Living Water Zambia for alleviating poverty and WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) related diseases in vulnerable communities." -Isaiah, church elder, Zambia
“Because of the borehole, people no longer have to walk long distances to fetch water and have time to attend church service. Because of the (integral mission) training, members have started embracing positive drivers of change that facilitate community development. This was most evident among the youth and women who came up with an initiative to establish a women’s group on finances”. - Pastor Field Miyengwe, Zambia
"We have utilized Bible Storying trainings in growing our church members and the school which is now being run by the church. WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) activities have become a common and vital practice at the school, church, and household level through the emphasis of the trainings and hands-on learning of the participatory workshops done by Living Water at our parish." - Rev. Celestine Ntaganda, Rwanda
“Church leaders are embracing the totality of their mission to transform communities through innovative gospel proclamation methods and are making hygiene and sanitation promotion a key part of every church activity”. - Pastor Gonel Myrtil, Haiti Church Envisioning workshops conducted by Living Water Haiti have created an environment that enables more cooperation between church and community members, leading to additional community development efforts.
"People who never thought that God would send them a solution have their realities changed thanks to the work of Agua Viva (Living Water partner in El Salvador). Julio (a community member) knelt in front of the new well, observing that his dream had been fulfilled. But above all, that God exists and the proof that he had needed was to see the miracle of the water." - Aqua Viva colleague, El Salvador

Living Water currently works along the Pacific coast of Guatemala. Team members will use an LS300 or a LS400 drill rig with our in-country drillers and help our hygiene team share proper sanitation techniques and Bible stories. You’ll get to experience the rich Guatemalan culture in Antigua, including a coffee plantation tour and Cerro de la Cruz—a beautiful cross set on a hill.
