Worship: A Universal Language

I enjoyed getting to know the hearts of the team and the Haitian staff. It's amazing what God can do when you get 20 like-minded people who are passionate for the Lord and His work under one roof.

I was challenged by the Haitian way of life. The compassion and love their community has for one another is astounding. As the Church, that is what our land, our world, should look like. There is so much we can learn from our Haitian sisters and brothers about love and compassion and servitude.

I will never forget the sound of our worship sessions being sung in English, Creole, and French simultaneously. The most powerful thing I experienced during my week in Haiti was worship in multiple languages. It's the same song, sung to the same God, and the sound will forever be in my head and my heart. Music breaks down all borders, all walls. Language barriers do not stop the work of the Lord, and it never will. Even if you can't speak a country's native language well, or at all, the Lord can do mighty things through you, if you just say YES - here I am, send me!
