A week in Nicaragua with Living Water

It all started when ... A few years back....a chance encounter with Jim and Tedde Reid--we shared our hearts for providing clean water to those who are not as fortunate. My wife Jane and I had been supporting World Vision water projects and were interested in learning more about Living Water.
Living Water made it easier for us to actually "go" and get our hands dirty serving others.

I enjoyed getting to know ... Our Nicaraguan drilling team (Leo, David & Scarleth) and the other six 'gringo's' that were a part of our US group! Also...the local residents of El Barrio de Revolucion--especially Nelson who was the leader of the community.

Things that challenged and changed me ... I was saddened by the level of poverty. I was also blessed by how nice the people were to me and to our team. In spite of their lack of material 'things'....they were generous, happy and loving.

I will never forget ... the experience and I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve!

This picture is of my wife, Jane, who loved the community and was especially touched when handing out Bibles to everyone.
