On Saturday, March 23, we invite you to join us at Living Water International’s Houston office as we celebrate World Water Day 2019 and share safe water with the people of Plaine du Nord, Haiti!
The 5K Run/Walk will be a chip-timed race with awards for the top three participants in each age group (14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over). The race starts at 8 a.m., and the course takes place on roads surrounding Living Water’s office in Stafford, TX.
There will be a water station at the halfway point. Baby strollers are allowed, but we ask runners with strollers to please start near the back of the group to avoid obstructing other runners. No pets are allowed on the race course. The race will be held regardless of weather.
No registration is required for the Open House.
Want to learn more about the world water crisis and Living Water’s mission? Stick around after your run to tour our office, meet our staff, and hear the stories of thirsty people whose lives you’ve forever changed!
This activity will be fun for your whole family. The Story of the Thirsty tour is a great way for kids and families to learn what it is like to grow up without safe water. Guests are welcome to stop by anytime between 9:30am and 11:30am.
Please check back soon for more information.
Our supporters from around the country will also run on Saturday, March 23, to celebrate World Water Day 2019 with us. Participate on your own or get a group of friends together to run for the thirsty! Your participant shirt and race packet will be mailed to you before the event.
If you have any questions about this race, please contact the 5K Director, Jeremiah Collins, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
