Living Water began operations in Sierra Leone in 2007 in the wake of the nation’s civil war, during which many wells were destroyed. The country still faces significant challenges in the area of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). Availability of safe water and proper sanitation is a major factor affecting the health of the population.
Our team offers safe water, hygiene and sanitation lessons, and the hope of Christ to communities in desperate need. Living Water Sierra Leone worked tirelessly and courageously in the face of the most severe Ebola outbreak in history in 2014-2015, through education and awareness initiatives, as well as water and sanitation projects to support the work of health professionals on the front lines.
